ABSTRACT

Objective:To carry out the clinical observation and research of OPT intense pulsed light combined parameters in the treatment of lip hairiness.Methods:A total of 94 female patients with lip hairiness who were treated with OPT intense pulsed light depilation were collected, of which 22 were treated with single parameter and 72 were treated with combined parameters, both once a month for 7 months. The treatment effects of the two groups were compared. From October 2013 to October 2019, the patients were collected from the Department of Medical Cosmetology, the Quzhou Affiliated Hospital of Wenzhou Medical University.Results:With the increase of treatment times, the curative effect of patients gradually appeared, and the χ 2 value was 10.87 in the single parameter group and 105.25 in the combined parameter group. The difference was statistically significant ( P<0.05). There was no statistical significance in the single parameter array between the two comparisons of different treatment times; there was statistical significance in the combined parameter group. The χ 2 value of treatment (1 vs. 3) times was 26.05, (1 vs. 7) times was 73.3, (3 vs. 7) times was 23.82 ( P<0.017). There was significant difference in the constituent ratio and total effective rate between the two groups after 3 and 7 times of treatment. The total effective rate of 3 times of treatment was 36.36% in single parameter group and 70.83% in combined parameter group; The total effective rate of 7 times of treatment was 59.09% in the single parameter group and 81.94% in the combined parameter group ( P<0.05). Conclusions:Combined parameters OPT intense pulsed light therapy has better effect on lip hairiness than single parameter, and the treatment is safe and has good clinical application value.

ABSTRACT

Objective:To investigate the clinical efficacy of Jinghua Weikang capsule combined with Bifidobacterium for curing patients featured by spleen-stomach damp-heat syndrome and Helicobacter pylori (Hp) infection with low DOB values.Methods:To enroll 130 cases who were admitted to the Digestion Center of Beijing Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Capital Medical University from March 2019 to March 2020. According to the treaatment protocols, the quadruple therapy group and dual therapy group, each had 65 patients. The quadruple therapy group had two different treatment protocols, 34 cases with Rabeprazole sodium enteric-coated tablet, Bismuth potassium citrate capsule, Amoxicillin capsule, and Clarithromycin, the other one had 31 cases with Rabeprazole sodium enteric-coated tablet, Bismuth potassium citrate capsule, Amoxicillin capsule, and Levofloxacin tablets. The Dual therapy group was treated with Jinghua Weikang capsule combined with Bifidobacterium. As for quadruple therapy group, 14 days was a course of treatment, while28 days was a course of treatment for dual therapy group. The two groups were treated for one course, respectively. The TCM syndromes were scored before and after treatment. After 4-weeks long drug withdrawal, all cases were reexamined via 13C-UBT. The Hp eradication rate, efficacy evaluation and adverse reactions were compared between both groups.Results:The eradication rate was 90.8% (59/65) in quadruple therapy group and 78.5% (51/65) in dual therapy group. There was no statistical difference between two groups ( χ2=3.78, P=0.052). As for quadruple therapy group, the eradication rate was 91.2% (31/34) in Protocol One and 90.3% (28/31) in Protocol Two. There was no statistical difference between two protocols ( χ2=0.01, P=0.906). After treatment, the TCM syndrome score of quadruple therapy group [(7.02±0.89) vs. (6.51±0.85), Z=-3.01], was significantly higher than that of dual therapy group ( P<0.01). The total effective rate was 93.9% (61/65) in dual therapy group and 78.5% (51/65) in quadruple therapy group. There was statistically significantly difference between two groups ( χ2=6.45, P=0.011). The adverse reactions was 24.6% (16/65) in quadruple therapy group and 6.2% (4/65) in dual therapy group. There was statistically significantly difference in two groups ( χ2=8.51, P=0.004). Conclusions:The Jinghua Weikang capsule combined with Bifidobacterium had curative effects on Hp infected patients with low DOB values. It could improve TCM Syndromes with little adverse reactions.

ABSTRACT

This paper reports a woman diagnosed with citrullinemia type I (CTLNⅠ) in puerperium who was unfortunately died later. The 28-year-old patient (G1P1) delivered a live girl at 39 +2 gestational weeks and was transferred from a local hospital to Henan Provincial People's Hospital on January 11, 2020, due to "a 3-day paroxysmal confusion accompanied by dizziness 4 days after delivery". Intermittent confusion, elevated blood ammonia, and citrulline concentration, and encephaledema were presented 10 h after delivery, and the patient eventually died of cerebral hernia on the day of self-discharge. Two pathogenic mutations of the ASS1 gene were found by genetic testing, including c.422t>G (p.val141gl; HET) and c.431c>G (p.pro144arg; HET) and confirmed the diagnosis of CTLNⅠ. CTLNⅠ is a life-threatening disease that could be easily overlooked and misdiagnosed and was difficult to treat. It most often occurs in newborns and infants, whilst it is rare during pregnancy and postpartum. The possibility of this disease should be considered in patients with neurological system symptoms and elevated blood ammonia during pregnancy or puerperium.

ABSTRACT

We report a case of fetal cardiac diverticulum diagnosed by ultrasound in the second trimester in a patient who finally had an induced abortion. The 28-year-old pregnant woman went to the Department of Obstetrics of Henan Provincial People's Hospital due to a fetal cardiac abnormality found by ultrasound in a local hospital at 25 +3 gestational weeks. At 25 +4 gestational weeks, fetal echocardiography showed a suspected fetal pericardial cyst, and further MRI showed a left ventricular structure disorder. Fetal echocardiography performed at 25 +5 weeks of gestation identified a cystic echo in the pericardial cavity in the fetus's left-ventricular side, communicating with the left ventricle. A weakened pulsation of the left ventricle and fetal edema were also found. Intraamniotic injection of ethacridine was performed for induced abortion due to suspected fetal cardiac diverticulum at 26 weeks of gestation, and fetal left ventricular diverticulum was diagnosed by pathological examination. Copy number variation analysis showed a 744 kb duplication in p15.3p15.2 region of chromosome 11 with unidentified pathogenicity.

ABSTRACT

Objective To investigate the expression and role of regulatory plasma cells in gravidas with systemic lupus erythematosus ( SLE) . Methods Gravidas with SLE were enrolled in Henan Provincial People's Hospital from April 2013 to April 2018. They were divided into three groups including pregnancy control group, SLE stable group and SLE deterioration group. The ratio of CD3-LAG-3+CD138high regulatory plasma cells was detected by flow cytometry. The concentrations of soluble human leukocyte antigen-G ( sHLA-G) and anti-nuclear antibody Ig were detected by ELISA. Lymphocytes in peripheral blood of SLE deterioration group were isolated, and then cultured in RPMI1640 medium containing 10% fetal bovine ser-um and stimulated with HLA-G. Results Flow cytometry showed that the proportion of regulatory plasma cells in SLE stable group was (2. 483±0. 1318)% and that in SLE deteriorating group was (1. 662± 0. 1304)%. There was a significant difference between the two groups (t=4. 431, P=0. 0013). The con-centrations of sHLA-G in SLE stable group and SLE deteriorating group were (36. 50±3. 510) ng/ml and (16. 50±2. 405) ng/ml, and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant (t=4. 701, P=0. 0008). Correlation analysis showed that the concentration of sHLA-G was positively correlated with the proportion of regulatory plasma cells (r=0. 7471, P=0. 0009). The results of in vitro experiment showed that the proportions of B cells and regulatory plasma cells were ( 7. 573 ± 0. 6539 )% and ( 1. 593 ± 0.1879)% in SLE deterioration group and (3. 732±0. 7178)% and (2. 503±0. 2921)% in HLA-G group with statistical differences between the two groups (t=3. 957, P=0. 0027;t=2. 620, P=0. 0256). Conclusions The proportion of regulatory plasma cells and the concentration of sHLA-G were significantly decreased in pregnant patients with SLE, which was closely related to disease severity. HLA-G played an important role in promoting the proliferation of regulatory plasma cells.

ABSTRACT

Ovarian vein thrombosis (OVT) is a rare, insidious and dangerous disease mostly occurs in the postpartum period. Early diagnosis and timely treatment are very important and may avoid serious complications. Here we reported a woman who had a fever and left back pain three days after vaginal delivery. Enhanced CT suggested that thrombosis occurred in the left ovarian vein, and even the renal vein was involved. Thrombus susceptibility gene detection revealed that the plasminogen activator inhibitor-1 gene was 4G/5G heterozygous genotype and the 5,10- methylenetetra-hydrofolate reductase gene was C/T heterozygous genotype. Anticoagulant treatments with low-molecular-weight heparin and rivaroxaban were effective.

ABSTRACT

Placenta is a vital organ connecting the developing fetus to the uterine wall for nutrients uptake and gas exchange,as well as fighting against pathogens,and secreting hormones to support pregnancy.For many years,it was believed that fetuses were growing in a germ-free environment.Contrary to this,recent studies demonstrated that a normal placenta harbors a nonpathogenic and diverse population of commensal microorganisms.Moreover,it also revealed that placental microbiome is associated with fetal growth restriction,preterm birth,maternal obesity,gestational diabetes mellitus and preeclampsia.This review summarized recent advances in placental microbiota.

ABSTRACT

Objective To evaluate the curative effect and toxicities of platinum-based double regimens for patients aged ≥ 65 with advanced non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC) and identify the prognosis factors. Methods 70 patients aged ≥65 with staged ⅢA-Ⅳ NSCLC, who received platinum-based double regimens as first line treatment, were emrolled.Response rates and toxicities were evaluated.Progression free survival (PFS) and overall survival (OS) were estimated using the Kaplan-Meier method. Cox regression analysis was used to identify the potential prognosis factors.Results The median chemotherapy cycles was 3.The overall response rate was 41.5 % (22/53), and there was no difference between patients aged <70 and ≥70 (χ2 =1.945, P =0.378).The median PFS and OS were 6.0 months and 12.5 months.The chemotherapyrelated hematologic toxicities were common.Multivariate analysis revealed that performance status, numbers of metastasis, chemotherapy cycles were significant independent predictive factors for OS. Conclusion In elderly advanced NSCLC, platinum-based doublets show inspiring efficacy, but with more adverse events, and could not be all well tolerated. It should be personalized. Patients with poor performance status and multiple organs metastasis are hard to benefit from combined chemotherapy.Three to six cycles of chemotherapy is the optimal duration for patients who could be well tolerated.

ABSTRACT

With the development of phamacogenomic and molecular biology, it has been revealed that the curative effect of non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC) is closely related to tumor molecular markers. Predictive biomarkers in NSCLC patients, including ERCC1, BRCA1, hMLH1, hMSH2, RRM1, β-tubulin, TS,EGFR and K-ras, can predict individual patient's response to chemotherapy or targeted therapy, making individualized therapy be possible.

ABSTRACT

Although the optimal treatment protocol for clinical N2-stage non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) is still uncertain, the recommended standard treatment protocol goes to radical concurrent chemora diotherapy. Concurrent chemoradiotherapy after induction chemotherapy is not superior to standard concurrent chemoradiotherapy. Neoadjuvant concurrent chemoradiotherapy followed by pulmonary lobectomy can improve overall survival ratio comparaed with preoperative neoadjuvant concurrent chemoradiotherapy. The role of concurrent chemoradiotherapy followed by consooldation chemotherapy is still controversial. Gefitinib or erlotinib failed to bring about the survival benefit from the maintenance treatment after concurrent chemoradiotherapy. Prophylactic cranial irradiation play a role merely in decreasing the risk of brain metastases, but not in the improvement of overall survival.

An ECG information database system was established with 1297 ECG information records and clinical informations. The data and the analysis software in this database can be shared with the international physiological signal databases such as MIT-BIH Arrhythmia. The establishment of this database will facilitate the clinical interpretation, diagnosis and prediction of cardiovascular diseases, especially the cardiac sudden death (SCD).
